Instagram: what Opah reads for any artist you add, every 72 hours

For any artist you add to Opah, yours included, Opah reads Instagram every 72 hours: the follower, following and post counts, and every recent post with its format (image, carousel, reel or video), caption, likes, comments and views. The reads become a posting cadence, a format read and the organic half of the release cycle.

$0.99 a month for your first 3 months on Opah Core, then $19. Cancel any time. Chartmetric is $60 a month for 10 artists; Opah is $19 for 3 or $39 for 10.

When the posts land around a release

Set every Instagram post against the nearest release day and the shape is the rollout: 94 of 787 posts land on the day itself, the median post lands on it too, and 39% come before. Across 145 releases the second week after is as busy as the week before.

In the product the same chart carries ads above the line and posts below it for one artist or a whole niche, so a rollout reads on one axis. The format read sits beside it: for one artist, carousels earned a median 3,428 engagements to a reel’s 2,008 over 90 days.

How it reads in the Niche Playbook

The same fields, read across the artists you study.

Cadence becomes the Behavior section: how often each artist in the niche posts, by day of the week and time of day, next to how often they start ads. The format read becomes Organic Pulse, what each format earns across the niche. Followers join the Audience vs Output read, which sets where an artist’s audience is against where their posts go, the one read no single platform can show.

Instagram is also where Opah finds the artist’s other accounts: the link in bio, the Meta page behind the ads, the TikTok and YouTube handles, each confirmed from the artist’s own links before it is attached.

How to read these numbers

Hidden likes are gaps
A hidden like count is left out of every median, so an artist who hides likes on most posts has a thinner format read.

The other half: the ads beside the posts

Most artists’ Meta ads run on Instagram. Opah keeps every one the artist’s page has run, dated, beside the posts, so the paid and the organic sides of a rollout read on one axis, and the Playbook’s release cycle shows both for the whole niche.

Questions

More on the FAQ.

Can I see Instagram analytics for an artist that is not mine?
Yes. Add the artist to Opah by name; it finds the Instagram account from the artist's own links, reads the profile and the recent posts every 72 hours and keeps them. Nothing is connected and no login is asked for. Opah's list price starts at $19 a month for 3 artists.
Does Opah read likes when the artist hides them?
No. A post whose like count is hidden comes back from the platform as a small placeholder number; Opah reads that as hidden, leaves the post out of every median and shows a dash, so no artist's engagement is inflated or deflated by a hidden count.
Does Opah analyse Instagram images?
No. Instagram is read for patterns: how often the artist posts, which formats they use, what each format earns in likes, comments and views, and when posts land around a release. Vision analysis is for Meta ads only.
Does Opah read stories or highlights?
No. Opah reads the profile and the posts on the grid, including reels. Stories expire and are not kept.
How often is Instagram refreshed?
Every 72 hours for each artist, the same cadence as TikTok, YouTube and the Meta ads. Spotify is read every 24 hours.
